So I've opened up my exhaust a bit (alot), and welded in a snuffer nut  but the bike will currently top out at 60 on a hill and 70 on the flats. I ordered a jetset, but my question is could it be anything else? I've put 4k on the bike since I got it in June and before I cut the exhaust I never took it above 60 so I have no basis for comparison. Also bought some sweet narrow 12" bars will be cutting a little more off before mounting them, gonna Clear coat the bare metal so I can appreciate the beautiful welds I think will try and post pics when installed.

Has the carb ever been cleaned?  Sticky slides can limit the top speed.

When it reaches 60....does it just run out of power smoothly, or is there some bucking/jerking going on?

Well I think I figured it out. I removed the snuffer nutand now it has all sorts of power, WAY to loud for the street so I ordered a slip on shorty pipe. As far as the cleaning goes I will give it a good one when replacing the jets. Top speed is now around 80 but I expect it will get better after the rejet.  Thanks for the reply Dave.
