Knowledge of good and evil.
Every newborn baby just exists. Watch their eyes. Each moment is New. They don't know How to weigh, measure, expect, value, choose, all they know is NOW. It's When we, and Each of us does, have that Moment when our ego comes into existence.
THAT'S when WE come into play. That's when We can evaluate logically. That's when we suddenly have the
Knowledge of Good and Evil.
That's NOT saying we are wise and able to choose good, we, because of the fact that the ego that defines us, is wrong, in conflict with God, our ability to rightly choose is impossible.

I can't put over forty years of study into a few sentences, and it's pearls before swine, anyway.
I Think there is One out there who just might be getting something,, so, I try.

I've studied intently for decades. Pursued diligently, and been rewarded. The People who call me friend would shock you.

Similarities, yes, but as a follower I only have the capacity to share, what I have, with those that NEED it, if I have plenty.

For me to step into the role Jesus did in dealing with folks, removes me away from my first obligation.
For if I gave to those that needed, then they would not need to enlist the help of the money-changers at a profit, or set up the scenario where deceitfulness can flourish.....

The church has failed miserably, in our obligations to fellow men.
We have opted to allow the government, to provide for our brothers, so we could keep ours.

Neighbors used to help neighbors back in the days when it was life, and death.
Pretty obvious that if a persons home/barn burned down, they might perish.
Neighbors used to gather together, to rebuild that which burnt.  

Now, we have insurance, or government programs, etc, that have taken away the very opportunity for us to be our neighbors keeper.

Yes, its an oversimplification, but the truth is still prevalent.

I assure you, when I die, if I am so beholden to my possessions, for I earned them, fair and square, and thus entitled by earthly reasoning....
That I leave instruction in my will, that a U-haul trailer is to be attached to the bumper of the Hearst, to carry those gatherings with me to the grave.....
It will make no difference to where I go. None.
To put my faith in something that has no real sustainable value, is the same argument that has you up in ganders about reserve notes, etc....

If a man behaves with morality, and compassion, because he is promised a reward... is that really being moral and compassionate?...?...
Why did God feel the need to offer such a bribe?..

No, he didn't introduce himself as the Christian God, man did that.
It done by those who chided their belief in Jesus, sorta like the "C" word  
It's not a bribe, but fact.

I don't think you have kids, but you must tell them no, and punish when needed, to hopefully prevent that behavior that promises greater consequences....
The bible tells of my sin being extended into future generations.
God is not punishing them, no, but revealing to me the consequences of my selfish actions/sin.
Like a kid who watches his dad beat his mom, often grows up to beat his wife....
