So , The 1932 -74/cubic-inch Harley that folks fell in love with , was 28HP and would do 90 mph.    Sound familiar ?

Well , it was a twin --- but 28 - 35 HP , is a fun range .

The inner part of his Tweed 'riding trousers' was made of a Kevlar/Gortex/Carbon-fibre material, a material only discovered by riders of multi-cylinder machines many moons later....  Cheesy

The following video.....was a fellow attempting 150 mph in 1930.  He had a wool sweater on - and they used electrical tape to try and make the sweater more streamlined!

There was a lot of streamlining done in the 30's with boat tail cars, etc. We owe a lot to those early innovators.

Remember, compression ratios were really low back then because of the crappy gas.
