T-6 , my S-40 with 28,000 + miles don't use a noticeable amount between changes I got it 4 years ago with 6,000 ish miles on it.

Going back to 2k interval approx. It is relatively cheap and I must admit I ride hard, harder than I used to anyway. Who could these bad influences be???

Change oil once a year, change oil filter every other year. Clean air filter every other year. Keep topped up with oil using side stand method.

That's what I was talking about --- the Kick-Stand-Method --- mine will hold three quarts plus a little before the crank even comes close to the oil in crankcase !!! Wink

The first LS-650 had right at 40,000 miles on it when I put the 95mm piston in and their wasn't even a ring grove .

I do use a new filter every-time I change oil and I use the best oil I can find (T-6) w/a touch of STP.

I see and feel the Holy Spirit in the world , as does anybody who has eyes to see.
