Arkansas Pig Trail

Arkansas is one state I've never been to.  Is the Pig Trail worth the effort to get there & back from a pretty good distance?  I'm guessing it is quite nice, but only if your within 100 miles or so?  Feel free to elaborate?

Best regards,

I have not been there yet but what I have read sounds like a good ride. I hope MM comments cause I know he was in Arkansas earlier this year and there is apparently much more than just the pig trail to ride. The Pig trail is a ride I want to do someday.

I went in July and it was " HOT "  ,  and  " Moist " ,   I mean the kinda of weather where you sweat just sitting in the shade !  Tongue  with your tongue hanging out !!!  Grin

That was west Arkansas , while I was there I went the extra 1.5 miles so I could cross Oklahoma off my bucket list too !  Wink

Our CMAUSA group had our National Eastern Rally at Iron Mountain this year is why I was there.   They have a great Campground at Iron Mountain and will be having our "Changing-of-the-Colors" Rally there in Oct 19-24th .   guest stay free if your interested .   According to my wife I'm been to my limit of week-long events this year ... but ...  Roll Eyes ... I might fit in a three day ride ???  Huh  I always invite her to go with me but she never goes more than 100 miles .    Iron Mountain is just short of 600 one way from home.

Well the ride through the Ozarks is nice , but not like the Smokies.   The roads seem to be more spread out -- could be I didn't see the right sections ???  Undecided

During , the Oct. rally as a member I would have to register but you wouldn't .   Tent camping is included in the $20.oo price - for the week !  Smiley

I just love this site !  Smiley

MM:

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post, that was my general impression.  One of these days we'll get together for a ride.  With work it is difficult for me to plan getaways.  I set a side a general window and go if I can.   Undecided
