Need to raise up back end

Would a taller set of shocks raise up the back seat height?  Any idea's?  Thinking about a hard tail.  Thanks for your help.

12 inch Intruder 800 shocks will raise seat height and improve the ride.  You definitely won't improve the ride with a hard tail, and the majority of the hard tails I've seen have effectively lowered the seat height .

Bobber Taller shocks will lift the rear, and give a better ride with less bottoming out(longer travel). most have used shocks off a 800 suk or Progressive shocks.      you can also use use hard metal struts in place of the shocks, but the ride is harsh, and handleing poorer .After market hardtails won't give you the seat lift your looking for.

I can get the rear end where I want it with hard tail struts, I'd just make them myself but the rear wheel skipping on bumps is my concern.  Seat has springs so my tushy would be fine.

Hard tail? You are deliberately going back in time.

I can remember riding back to my army camp on a rigid BSA 350 many years ago, at 20 years of age, crawling off the bike in pain at the guard house and not knowing any better.

I will not be doing that again! For what purpose?? Roll Eyes

Bike has been chopped 6 inches on the front, rake is good but about 2 inches higher then stock, seat has springs but sits low in the back.  Need to get the back higher so I'm not sliding off the seat.  I guess that's it Norm.

How about longer shocks?

I have a pair of shocks that are 2" longer than stock. They raise the rear end 1.5'

Bobber,
The shocks in question are available from NewBonneville.com They bolt right on to the Zuki and are 2" longer than the Suzuki shocks. The stock muffler gets in the way but I suspect that won't be an issue in your case.

Good luck amigo.

Bobber,
I am not sure but based on what I have learned here, I think so.
I am not sure how long the intruder shocks are. Somebody will chime in with the info you need. Everybody says that the intruder shocks are a good fit.

On thing, if there is anything you need to know somebody will have the info you need. Smiley

I didn't mean to sound condescending. Some people just like hard tails.

Have you seen this?
