Those Google searches can be a real eye opener sometimes.

I was at work, designing a new larger gravity sewer line to replace one that is too small to handle the new subdivisions in the area. I wanted to make a small elevation change to get the line a little deeper, and that can be done at a manhole....large drops can be done with a "drop manhole" that involves 90 degree bends and a section of pipe on the outside of the manhole...it is a standard design. Occasionally you can make a small drop inside the manhole by just building a small "slide" in the bottom of the manhole. The fellow drawing the plans had never seen this before - so to get him an example I Googled "slide manhole"......all I can say is that I wasn't prepared for the images I was provided! Shocked
