A goat?

It's a free lawn mower, provides nutrients for the soil, and goat's milk is a lot more digestible for humans than that of cows.
Good family pet for when the grand-kids visit.
Obviously a goat can reproduce (unlike a lawnmower) so either you get a new little milker (to sell), or you get a nice roast/bbq and a nice piece of hair on hide.
As long as you keep it tethered to something strong, and move it when needs be, it won't break out and gnaw the bark of your fruit trees before having a desert of clothes from the washing line.

When they are done rent them out to eat someone else's grass and have someone to shear the wool then sell it , goats can't do that ! Here's the best part you will always have a date in case the wife cuts you off ! Baahaahaahaahaaa

I am not sure where the sheep went when the war was over.
