Let's look at some examples of uncontrolled immigration without any intention to assimilate to the host culture.  Do you think the Native Americans would refer those "issues" as "rhetoric" ?

Best regards,

The Native Americans didn't have an immigration policy. Likewise the Aztecs, the Incas, and the Mayans. The "immigrants" you're referring to were more properly "invaders" and the indigenous folks couldn't do much about the situation, although they tried, sometimes valiantly and against very long odds. It sucks for them, but the way it worked out is the way it worked out.

We, on the other hand, have the capability, and the right, not to allow a similar, but somewhat different,  fate befall us.

" ... The Native Americans didn't have an immigration policy. Likewise the Aztecs, the Incas, and the Mayans. ..."

Brings up a very good point.  Who, Were, the "Native North Americans"?

It is now documented that the, Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans, were here first, and the, 'Indian' are decedents of them.

Who, was, 'first' in Italy, Denmark, UK, Germany, etc. etc + ?

Did the Kings and Queens of those countries, bend over backward, for the people that were their, just before them?

Swap the words 'Jew' and 'Muslim' in his speeches, then it's just the mustache that's missing.

What does what religion have to do with it?

Riiight... so, SINCE we actually Have immigration laws and since we don't HAVE TO import Muslim refugees, BUT we clearly Are working to import problems, what would a reasonable population think is the reason for that?

And the cheap labor thing is wearing thin. How many unemployed people are necessary to create a workforce?

"What does what religion have to do with it?"

I believe that Trump has been almost, slightly teetering on, a hint of an anti-muslim stance.

Whereas the Austrian with a Charlie Chaplin mustache developed and broadcast his theories about antisemitism years before he came to power.

Is Trump lazy?  Cheesy

Flip it......
One could say those who want to restrict freedom of religion(s) are Hitlers too.

Why folks only see in others, what they neglect to view of  themselves, under the same scrutiny, is disingenuous, or just plain old hypocrisy.

Quote:

I don't know about a "reasonable population" but a reasonable person might suspect that the reason our elites and intellectual superiors favor such a policy is that they are not satisfied with the racial, ethnic, religious and ideological divisions of the home grown variety that already exist. They want to import as many unassimilable, incompatible groups from where ever they can be found to add to the mix. Until what was once a relatively homogenous population with shared values and aspirations has been replaced with a country made up of dozens or hundreds of warring tribes who can not, will not, and don't want to, peacefully coexist.

Tribes whose differences can be kept simmering just below the level of outright warfare with each other, only by means of a ruthless and powerful central government run by the above mentioned Elites. Elites ensconced in  their heavily guarded  enclaves looking down their noses at the chaos and despair outside their gates, while playing one warring tribe against another in  order to squeeze whatever financial benefit they can out of the infighting.

Of course, such an arrangement can't last forever. Look at the Soviet Union for proof of that, but it's a hell of a deal while it lasts, as long as you happen to be one of the big shots. Not so great for the little people naturally, but really, who gives a crap about them?

Agreed, I'm all for whatever religion anyone wants to be in society.

It's just the 'turn the other cheek/thou shalt not kill' bit that gets me.

Aggression and hypocrisy (despite being qualities that the TT seems to encourage these days) is the trademark of the Christian West.

No-one from the middle east (since the Ottomans) has ever invaded a Western country, but unfortunately, OIL is in great supply from Mohamed's neighborhood. Oil is money, power and influence.

As places like Aleppo and Gaza get turned into cement dust....I just wonder why  people don't realise that it's the same one God you are worshiping.
Same place.
Same Abraham, the same Noah.
Same Jesus, and there is a whole chapter on the virgin Mary in the Koran....

But, we are told to hate them.

As for Mark's use of the word 'dump', I think it's a cross between 'dumb' and 'trump'.....'dump'  Embarrassed

Oil is money, power and influence.......

I hear the gist of your observation, but I don't think it was some great scheme of many, but the results of a few.

Was the slave not a implement, to wealth and power, as well?
Did the locals sell off their own, to increase their own personal wealth?

I chalk up most of how this life is transpiring, to evil.
Man had a choice, he took the wrong one, and we carry the results and burden, today.

You yourself bro, willingly, or unwillingly, perpetuates this evilness too, I see you are trapped, as I, and those you charge, with this declaration you wrote: But, we are told to hate them.

Until I turn that cheek, without calling attention to myself, be it by example, or chastise, I have blood on my hands too.
I have sold out the truth of real love, for my own "wants".
I should be darned to hell  Embarrassed

I understand your point and it has a great amount of merit.  However, I suspect the Native Americans probably said something similar to your quote above in the late 1500's.

Perhaps. However they didn't have the capability to defend themselves from what was coming their way in the next couple of centuries.  And don't forget that the Natives lack of any sort of immunity to the infectious diseases that the "immigrants" brought with them was a huge contributor to their demise. Smallpox, for instance, killed far more Native Americans in the first hundred years of European settlement  here than any direct confrontations between the natives and the Europeans did. I believe the same was true in the Southern Hemisphere. Entire tribes simply vanished because of disease.
