I looked at m/c roads and if we stay at red lodge, beartooth hwy is it.
But if we stay in Cody there's 4 different loops to go on.
1. cody via chief joesph to beartooth to redlodge about 115 miles.
2. cody to yellerstone 100 miles
or 2 more roads towards little big horn for 150 miles each.
so 2 to 300 day rides.

and a cabin for 4 at $66

restaurants, museums and I'm sure there's a hospital for jog.   Grin

While in Cody, you might as well spend a good half day going to the museum.   Cool

If I could meet ya in Cody sometime , then are you thinking August ?

Perhaps I could meet-up with SpringMan somewhere along the way , and maybe a few others ?

I checked the mileage to Cody, it's about the same as going to Lancer's.
So maybe you can stop and pick him up if he wants to go.
Just whip out your almanac and figure out when to go.

august looks like a good time to go.

I would be ridding the bike and leaving the truck home.  But If Lancer is willing to hold the luggage ... we can ride double !  Grin

I hear mention of picking up Lancer, on the way to Yellowstone to see Yogi Bear ----- is this the Black Hills trip thread?

MM, if you are riding I will ride as well.   Barcalounger can carry a lot of your stuff if you are going to be riding double with Lancer   All it takes is rope ......

Cody , and Bear Tooth could be on the way to the Black Hills  Roll Eyes

Seems like they are closer together than from here to either one ,,,

Versey ,
If we meet in Cody this August and ride a couple days then we'd still have the Black Hills for next year ?   Cody isn't but one days ride from Lancers is it ?

What's the chance of us getting a tour guide in the Cody area ?

It's been awile since I've been there, but I wouldn't mind making the trip again.  I'll have to see how things work out at work.....My coworker and her Hubby usually take a couple of weeks for Sturgis.  I wouldn't mind hitting up Glacier National Park along the way.  I suspect, however, that I will only be able to take an extended weekend. This sounds pretty good to me. If Lancer is willing to put up with us it is just a one day ride for me to Lancer's. Then Lancer, MM, Oldfeller and I could all ride out together from there. August would normally be good for me but I will have to play it by ear this year as we (work) are having a new building built for us which should be ready at latest by the end of August. And of course I am the office liaison with the building contractor and will be office liaison with the movers when we get to that.

It looks like it might be a days ride from Code to the Black Hills area.  Maybe , I should check out Cody for a place to stay on the way to the B Hills area.
How are you on meeting in Cody around the dry spell Lips Sealed Embarrassed in August ?   Even if Surge's is going on another days tide up the road ?

We should take this to the 2018 thread
