Who's Lives Matter........

What drives the BLM movement?
Do they feel underrepresented, disenfranchised, ignored?
Is this what is leading them to act upon?
Are we justified in taking matters into our own hands, as recourse?
Is civil unjust and disobedience  acceptable recourse?
Is this recourse acceptable actions regardless of cause, and by whom?
Is there some standard that must be met to allow leniency toward some, but not others?
Is it right to isolate a cause under certain criteria, like race, gender, etc, but attack any opposition who respond against this cause with a "lumping" of those who label themselves accordingly?

I think if we can honestly address these questions, we might uncover the motivation behind why people are voting for Trump....

The moment we extend liberties to ourself, but deny the same, to others, only conflict will result, from such actions.

Why are we surprised?

Have not the Black community been voicing their grievances for decades?
Yes.
Have many folk, including a white, middle class male, been voicing his feelings for years too?
Do we just minimize him, and label him, like we did the Black race with the lowest common denominator, assigning it, with prejudice, to all Blackmen?

BTW, if I post/reply to anything, I do so willingly, and as such, I accept the consequences for having extended those viewpoints, as that is the very foundation of dialog.....
I might chide, and use sarcasm as a tool, but I never expect, nor desire, censorship or ask that another persons extension of those rights, be deleted....

Ruttly, I think you missed the thrust of my point in referencing BLM.
Because of the PC policies, we are expected to extend to this group considerations based on their POV, as legit.
To question such, especially if you are white, means you are a racist, and not to be taken under consideration for your POV....
The left appears NOT interested in dialogue, but bullying and labeling those views that run counter to theirs....
It is a form of censorship, and extremely disingenuous, as ignorance is the only outcome of such behavior.

Not sure how to read your personal example of what makes a movement a success.....

According to the World Health Organization approximately 151 thousand people die every single day worldwide.  Most days I don't know any of them so I don't care.  Does that make me a racist?

Are those different standards, dependent on:
Color of skin, race, religion?

Do understand, a person, who has a mental or physical disability.
Like a person, who cannot walk, and is in a wheelchair.
(You have to walk up the steps to the Courthouse to testify)
Or, perhaps, someone with diminished mental capacity, decides to walk on the freeway, simply because they did not know and/or, understand the law.  (Give ‘em a ride to the next exit, and say, Don’t Do That)
