Curse you, Craigslist !

Ok, it's my fault. Sold my Vulcan 500 last month, for more than I paid, stuck the cash in savings. Started thinking another bike would be cool, but needed a bike with lower weight, and shorter wheelbase. The 3 that met my needs are the Duc scrambler, Yam FZ07 and Suz S40, which I already own. The Duc and Yam cost too much and I'm a bit old for them.
Cue craigslist, 2008 S40, 5800 kms, looks brand new. RED!
Bought it from a young lady who had bought a Duc Scrambler and needed to be rid of the S40.
Got a great price, runs great, NOW THE WORK STARTS! All over again!
This one will be perf tuned but remain stock looking except maybe for the seat and Dyna.
Stealth missile! Cool

I'll switch carbs right away, and my spare Dyna. The insurance expires on the older one in a month and it will shorten the tune-up time.
I also need a way to refer to them A or B, 1 or2, new or old. They are both 2008's Cool

You could call them Thelma and Louise? Or Rocky and Bullwinkle? Or you could add a little gold accessories to the red one and call it Ironman?

Just kidding about the gold accessories, Zip. Unless you're 20 years old and think that kind of thing is really cool. Who am I to judge?  hehehehe

Hey OR: howdja get the footpegs away from yerass?
At 70+, I need my feet forward or my knees lock up.
I'm kinda stuck buying cruisers, and the S40 is the lightest! I'd like to try the CBR300F. Cool

Pretty sure that's stock location for the pegs, like I posted earlier, the Twinjas are sport-ee commuter bikes, not sportbikes

Just finished enough mods for the fall: white spacer shaved to 1.4mm from 2.8mm, switched out the longer shocks from the older one, main jet to 150, socket risers, Dyna, . The rest I'll do over the winter, new tires, taller seat( maybe bonneville), K&N, RYCA adapter, raptor.
I wasn't sure I'd like the drag bar, but strangely, it seems to suit me with the low risers. Tracker bars are still an option, but maybe not.
Took it out this aft, enough performance for me, minimal backfire, taller shocks should really be standard, corners nice.
Got lucky again, this is the second bike in 2 years I was able to buy below market, sold my vulcan for $500 profit, but won't sell either S40.
Richard Rawlings, here's to you! Cool
