So, after 50 years, if I were Black, I'd sure be ready to try something else; wouldn't you?
As you may tell from this diatribe, I get worked up about this.  Black folks have got to quit being different - stay in school, get a further education, don't have illegitimate babies, have a real family, stay married, obey the law, and then enjoy the American dream.

This is sound advice if your genuine motivations were to assimilate.  I don't believe many groups have any intention of joining the main stream part of society.  As for the American dream, I believe it is out of reach of the vast majority of most people.

Best regards,

I think the "danger" in stating a "mainstream" culture, is that it is not static....but changing, evolving, growing into new dimensions.

As it shouldn't be, for life is so much more interesting if other influences are realized and appreciated for their own uniqueness.

So, in a perfect world you want everybody to think, behave, believe, act, talk, dress, etc, like you?

Why do I think of China a few decades ago, all dressed alike, looking alike, riding the same bicycles?

MAN, where in Hell did you conclude I think everyone should be like me?

I just think people should LOOK at the obvious.
Where is everyone's sense of history?
Am I alone in remembering the Pre Welfare state?
The black community acted much more like the white community. Businesses were owned, marriages were on par, out of wedlock birth May have been better than the white community.

Opportunity has been taken away. Expecting people to behave as if they have a future when it's been legislated into oblivion is not reasonable.

Now, where in that have I Expected anyone to DO anything but THINK?

The ONLY REASON blacks aren't thriving in the Glorious Opportunity Filled environment that they have been provided

The bubs have not given the dems free reign.

Why does any group Need provided for?

Is it NOT extreeeemely racist to Say that THEY need to be cared for?

Before we started Helping them, they were much better off.

helping? or enslaving?  cause between the slavery period and us "helping" them, I'm assuming you are talking about civil rights legislation? or what there???  anyway, between slavery and civil rights was massive discrimination, including lynchings, does that sound better off to you?  not being included in the America whitey knew

THERE'S BEEN NO TIME IN AMERICAN HISTORY where african americans have been on equal footing with caucasians,  The started off as slaves, they weren't even seen as equal until the 1960s, only recently have they really started making inroads to normalization of American culture. The inertia of racism is great, 400 YEARS of accepted racism IS NOT ERASED after 50 years of equality.  Inertia is the issue. It is much better today than in 1964 but only because of protest movements and awareness.

oh, and this "helping"  if you are talking about welfare, well MOST OF WELFARE GOES TO WHITE PEOPLE, do you want to stop "helping" them too?

now for the most part, in today's society racism has been limited, and the extreme version of racism has been limited to only a few pockets in today's society, instead of the opposite way around. But of course, Trump loves to retweet racists so maybe they're making a comeback.

Really ?

They WHY, are so Many People,  (MANY MORE than in 1964),  (Including Black Skinned People),   LAUGHING, at the Antics.
BURNING, LOOTING, STEELING, KILLING, SHOUTING TREATS, BLOCKING ROADS, THREATENING LIVES,    Etc  Etc  Etc.

Or could it be,  'someone', is PAYING, and ORCHESTRATING, this, "Movement' ?

Could it,  'Possibly' be a DEMOCRAT, person/s, who, WANTS, a certain group of people, to be, "Out of Control',   So, 'Other' measures, which are deemed to be in order, can be interacted?  Which will,  "Of Course',  allow the, 'Sensible' , people, to, 'Take Control".

  Could it Be ????????

And, OF COURSE, that means,  Severely  Restricting the Right to have a Firearm, Because 'we' don't want the,  Crazy people to have one,   Only the, 'Sensible' people.

Then, when, ONLY, the 'Sensible', people, can have a firearm.
Of Course, ALL the, 'Sensible', people, will  do, whatever the, 'Sensible', Government want's to do.

And if the, 'Sensible', Government, says,  JUMP,  ALL, the, 'Sensible' people will ask,   'How High".

Good God,, since most welfare goes to a percentage of the population that is white, and white people are 80% or so of the population, that means that I hate blacks.

STOP BEING TOLD WHAT TO BELIEVE.

THINK.
LOOK AT HISTORY.

Black families were sound and black communities were thriving.
I won't do the studies for you, I did it for me.

I WATCHED as blacks came to the store. I saw families.
Society is PRETENDING to care, handing out checks, and passing laws to make the check disappear if a man is living in the house.
Making the transition from welfare to normal life impossible.
So WHAT if most welfare goes to whites?
How many people are in families who have no living relative who ever worked?

As for MY Ss, I EARNED mine. So, screw you, prick.

We , America, SCREWED the population by passing trade deals.
Without OPPORTUNITY, what will they do?
I would move, if I was some inner city yute..

if I had to guess, it'd be around 100 years or more, the struggle is severe, and our government is way too cheap to actually offer the support and help they need. I don't agree with the current welfare system either, but to do it right would cost at least 3 times a much.
