Black cop; white girl. I'm going to start a Movement and riot somewhere.

TSA agents can be the worst. Nothing to do all day except watch people stand in lines. One time, this lady was walking up and down the line telling people to remove everything from our pockets etc... but she was yelling it like we were prisoners. It was ridiculous so I said back "hey, we're not inmates on our way to the yard" or something like that. You would have thought I tried to take her gun! Kinda funny actually.

I used to love airports. It's amazing to think that you walk onto a plane and in a couple hours you can be almost anywhere. That's a fairly recent phenomenon when you think about it. But as usual, the government has ruined it. Creating the TSA was a stupid, stupid idea. Now it will never go away.

Twenty years from now there won't be anyone left alive that even remembers what it was like to get on an airplane without first being manhandled by an agent of the government. "It's always been like that - what's the big deal" will be the attitude.

Next come train stations, bus stations, subways, random roadblocks on the interstate highways. All for our own safety and security of course.

People aren't any harder to train than Golden Retrievers, as long as the trainers have plenty of time and patience,  and unlimited financial resources.

I've already commented on this, and maybe even posted it once before.

And mentioned the above.

I trained a kid who was 19 into 21. I made him watch the movie Airplane so he'd understand my jokes.
The next day wasn't jokes. He only asked if it really used to be like that to fly.

I'd fly between parents. My dad used to get on the plane and make sure I was buckled.

I suspect they are already running pilot programs.

In most countries, the existence of a credit system isn't controversial. Past financial information is used to predict whether individuals will pay their mortgages or credit card bill in the future.

But China is taking the whole concept a few steps further. The Chinese government is building an omnipotent "social credit" system that is meant to rate each citizen's trustworthiness.

By 2020, everyone in China will be enrolled in a vast national database that compiles fiscal and government information, including minor traffic violations, and distils it into a single number ranking each citizen.

Best regards,

Fire up your favorite search engine and type in "VIPR team"

It's not a pilot program. They are operational.

I think we should elect someone who is very much excited about keeping the current programs that limit freedom and expand on them. Go Hitlery

Maybe I read the story wrong. I understood the girl to attack first. Ok, she was confused and the agent over reacted, but I think the agent was acting correctly up until the violence happened. I'm not condoning that.

Here we observe the natural territorial behavior of the Airlinneus subspecies of Homo governmentus, commonly known as the "TSA agent" or, more broadly, "G-Man." Unfortunately, a young female Homo sapiens and her mother have mistakenly wondered into their territory and the younger appears confused. She has been taken as a threat, and a fight ensues. This species is known for its aggression, and, like the grizzly bear, usually responds better to submissive behavior. Watch as they group together and work together to expel the apparent threat to their territory... Marvelous... The lighter skinned one is able to hold back the older female by his force of persuasion and intimidation alone, while the darker skinned subject is removing the threat by force, attempting to actually restrain the subject. Ahh... what a remarkably intelligent trait...

What... you mean we're not watching a nature show? Huh

Now tell me what government agents have largely done throughout history, not just American-- HUMAN history? Their job and what it entails? Now tell me how they tend to naturally behave and think?

Yeah... g-men are trouble... plain and simple. If you need their help, good for you. Just hope they don't turn on you. They're agents of the government, not your friends. Just hope the ones you deal with have enough good and humanity in them to treat you right when things get tough.

They're people... with power and authority... a job that entails restraining people and delivering them to judgement, by force if necessary. Like grizzly bears, they generally become  only more aggressive in response to aggression. Like killer bees, when you piss 'em off, a thousand more will follow to finish you off. People make mistakes and do bad things. What happens when you take normal people and pump them up with power and authority and expect them to execute all these laws and such? It ain't pretty, folks.

Those agents had better be thankful that they were dealing with a mild-mannered mother and not a hot-headed father, or this would have turned out a lot uglier. I wouldn't really blame the father either.
