The only time I tried to drill a disc on a drill press (in the 80's) I gave up after cooking a bunch of drill bits. Stainless does a lousy job of transferring heat and work hardens real fast. I drilled a disc a while ago and did 300+ holes with one drill bit. The joys of a CNC with a flood coolant system -Armen
