You haven't been following the Brexit ordeal, have you?...

Either that, or you don't understand it...

The people speak,... the politicians are in turmoil...
That is democracy in action... it is Europe...

Have you ever been here? Who would ever leave?
Of course I've been out of Texas, but what would that have to do with understanding the concept of sovereignty belonging to the People and government being the servant, with the understanding that government, like unruly SERVANTS, CAN BE FIRED,

HOW, exactly, does having been elsewhere allow you to understand what is written better?
Rather than just pretend that you know more, explain what you believe. Have I not typed out enough?

Of Course I'm following brexit.

What has that to do with the principles of our Republic?
Who is the sovereign, what rights and powers are Rightfully the People's and everything else I said?

....................................................
Our politicians are public servants.
Our PM wanted to stay in the EU.
We voted no.
He went.
The country is leaving the EU.

The principles of your Republic include the bit where it says (paraphrased) "if the government gets too big for it's boots, then the people can chuck them out and use arms to do so, thereby stopping potential tyrany."

Similar idea? (except its votes not guns)

The idea of the USA's public standing up to those in power/military (they work for the government) or indeed the whole society-structure may be a 'Right', but Wako and Ruby Ridge would suggest that the time is long past to try and exercise that 'right', therefore rendering it useless (but it looks good on paper).

Neither Randy Weaver or the Branch Davidians had any interest in overthrowing the US Government. And don't forget that Weaver sued the FBI for the death of his wife and won.
You need better examples.

The POINT is, so many Americans seem to believe that the Government is SUPPOSED to be all powerful, Always right, and WE are just supposed to agree.
They DON'T see how screaming Obvious it is that they just Do whatever they want and We get the bills And the problems.
Point to ONE TIME when we voted the bums out And the new bunch repealed the legislation that Caused us to
Vote the bums out.
Both sides are playing against US.

We've SEEN how able to defeat rag tag bands our military are.
Of course, they are not Trying,, winning the game Ends the game.
Can't sell weapons without wars,,
People need to wake the hell up around here.

No, not standing up to oust the Gov't, you are correct.
Has there ever been an example of the public trying anything like this? (since the invention of firearms more powerful than muskets, at least?)

Anyone who Grasps these Concepts should be able to have at least a belligerent attitude towards the war profiteers.

The inability of most people to see that No Matter how sweeping the voters drive that bums out, the unpopular legislation is NEVER REPEALED..

Don't much look like real opposition.
How many horrible bills do you have to see passed after Much handwringing , passed with Bilateral cooperation?

That's what they Do when it's So Bad neither party wants to get blamed.

Who can't See that?

I think Blair MT. was primarily a labor dispute. Coal Miners vs the mine owners. I don't think it was directed at the Us Government per se, although if I remember correctly the president threatened to, or possibly actually did, use the Army to restore order.

The best example of what I think you are talking about is the American Civil War. That one came pretty close to succeeding. It wouldn't have overthrown the US. Just removed about half the country at that time from Us domination. Which was the objective. I think something like that is not entirely out of the question today.

"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed."

declaration of independence

I think we are still at the point of the phrase I put in bold print. But I don't know how much longer that will be the case.
