There are security concerns about his receiving presidential briefings,.. from both sides..
This is unprecedented...

We have a mentally unstable person one vote from the Presidency...
Hillary may be seen as bad, corrupt, .. whatever...
... but she is well known as a shrewd political mind, and mentally stable...

Fartinator is a rogue,.. in the way only the insane can be...
He will quit...
Will Pence take the helm, and choose a new VP?... second place Cruz?... or will they supplant the Fartster with a shill?... a re-Romney?,.. or Ryan?...

Yes, you are right, I DID read that as you were sorry for him, my bad....
But then you should see where our thinking is when it comes to folks who appear to only choose a candidate predicated on which letter they have after their name, ignoring the very same charge and arguments they make against the other.

I too am baffled at Trump supporters, even those I visited with in SoCal, my kids, etc.
Sure, I get the HOPE, CHANGE, DREAMS, part, and I get the SICK & TIRED part, I think Robert Reich nailed it in that article I posted, that my friends on the right discount because of his associations, however, that changes nothing.
There is a major underlining movement to tumble the status quo, the elitist, aristocracy, we have presently.
I think the stickler in this is that it is coming at a time that our general populations is changing ethnicity too.
The left have made many arguments about race and labeling, etc, yet that is exactly how they try and manage this new element in order to capitalize on it.....
And it is seems folks don't trust them, rightly so, if you use the Black race as any indicator of how the left delivers....
I think the "harsh" talk is what people find appealing, not the PC stuff.
Sometimes you must use the truth ( not that Trump has any frickin idea what that is ) to get results and HOPEFULLY CHANGE....
Like calling a fat person FAT, instead of physically caloric challenged, enabling never works.....

Once we get REAL, maybe, perhaps, we can fix some stuff, like education, economics, justice, etc...

This is a time where Kennedy's speak about what we can do for our country, NOT, what it can do for us.....
Forgetting what the other prays to, or not, eats, drives, marries, gender, skin color, etc....
Those are all side shows outside the BIG tent, where the really good stuff is on display  Grin

Maybe, just maybe, the NEW influences of others from around the globe, and here at home, might help in finding a way back to being civilized, about caring, and appreciation, and supporting, one another, its possible, for currently this energy will destroy us, of that I'm certain....

OK, let her rip, lets keep blaming and assigning fault, you guys can keep your misery, I'm opting out  Kiss  

PS: let me add this one personal observation from my own experience how OTHERS we might see as outsiders, or threats, can actually teach us something, if we dare open our eyes and mind.

I work for a major aircraft corporation, it hires a extremely diverse workforce, after 50 years of living/working, this was a new environment for me.
I have befriended so many other ethnic folks, than myself, from around the world, it has been an amazing learning, I would have never got, understood, otherwise.
I will talk about my Muslim friends.
They are outgoing and very friendly, and DON'T try and persuade me, or rip my beliefs, heck no, we share and find commonalities....
Now here is the fun part, they are afforded the opportunity at work to stop and pray, according to their faith.
Will this freedom OF religion allowed them inadvertently allow Christians to do the same, OR, will it reveal the hypocrisy of some here in our nation?

I still have no strong objections to any of Trump's main policy points. Restrict immigration. Slow down these international trade deals that are presented with the theory that the rising tide will lift the USA too when in reality, all they've done is lowered us closer to the gutter they exist in. An overall theme of looking after our interests first, everyone else second. The world is a far, far better and peaceful place with a thriving and prosperous United States of America.

Hilary's main points are awful: continue and even expand the current immigration policies that are in place now. Don't be fooled  by any claim that the government will more closely vet potential immigrants more than they do now, we all know that ain't gonna happen. Just look at the joke the TSA has become.

Continue Obamacare which is failing miserably. None of the goals of insuring the 12 million uninsured were met nor was the idea of driving down the cost for all insurance. Everyone knew this failure was going to happen, it was just a matter of time.

$15 minimum wage, the biggest in a long line of dumb ideas. Again, everyone knows the outcome of this will be a disaster but that wont stop the liberal media and Democratics from touting this like the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Liberal Democrats like our friend Sew here, are destroying this country. I take that back, they HAVE destroyed this country.  I was not a Trump fan in the beginning, but I saw him as a chance to at least slow the tide down. I don't think that's going to happen now. It's a long shot he pulls this off. The entire media machine has lined up to kill him off like they've done against no other. He was far from the perfect guy to do it, but I'm not sure  that person exist..... The machine is too powerful, too entrenched. The media and entertainment culture gives them to much protection.

Trump has probably failed which means we all fall. Go ahead and laugh liberals, but we soon will be just another France, just another England, living in the shadow of some other superpower who will not be as endowed with the moral superiority the US once possessed. We'll be one of those countries begging for someone's help when disaster hits but who will be there to help us? No one.

C'mon Webby, trump is trumps worst enemy....
No one makes him udder such nonsense but himself.

We can talk policies, yes, we can talk failures, yes.
But it takes someone who is stable to bring about a consensus and hopefully change.
The people have weighed in on Obama, he has made history in the wrong way.
Hillary was forced to use him, when in reality her campaign against him as a candidate is prolly a lot more accurate to what she thinks of him.
But she can't break that unfavorable ceiling and will have to muster as many votes as she can, by whoever she can, to carry it off. And it appears she worked a deal with trump already  Grin

Go 3rd party, if all disenfranchised voters united under a third ticket, history would be made and it will also squash the grip and hold of the media and two party system they all capitalize upon!

I wouldn't worry about us becoming just another France or England,... we are, and always have been...
Our Constitution and government structure is based on theirs...
The founding fathers were all British subjects... (America was a British colony after all)...
They built upon what they knew, and what worked... minus a monarch... Grin

We are more in common than different... that's why we are allies...
France has nicer bread...  Huh

You're either incredibly stupid, or coasting into weekend mode and don't want to think too hard! I'm pretty sure its the latter which is fine cause that's where I am now. I'm not going into all the critical ways we no longer bear the slightest resemblance to our former sovereign. Instead, I've got a few more work things to do them I'm heading to store to pick out meat for a weekend BBQ.

I'm really not concerned with similarities or differences between our constitution and the laws of other places. I only care that Our Constitution, Laws, Principles of the Origin OF the constitution and laws are honored.

Of course I've been out of Texas, but what would that have to do with understanding the concept of sovereignty belonging to the People and government being the servant, with the understanding that government, like unruly SERVANTS, CAN BE FIRED,
