Thanks so much you guys my wear is at pretty near 20mm. It's just beginning to look crooked, the way it looks when the plunger is about to come out of the hole.
Without you I'da wrecked my motor.

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

Sounds like it's time for a new cam chain.

In theory, theory and reality are the same. In reality, they aren't...

Not necessarily, if you do the mod.
I just checked mine, and it's worn just a little bit less than yours. I've got at least 18k miles, which puts me right on the 1mm per 1000 miles schedule. Crazy, ain't it.
Many on here know (and probably wish they didn't
) all the trouble I've gone through to get to this point. For goodness sakes, you'd better hope that you don't have exhaust bolt problems! If you can get past that, you'll be scott free on the cam chain inspection. Drench those exhaust bolts in anti-seize. If you don't have some, GET SOME! Don't put them back in without it! If you let those exhaust bolts get stuck, YOU WILL REGRET IT!
