How did you mount your solo seat? (Read 100 times)

The Savage isn't much better than a hard tail, I think like 3" of suspension; but three inches spring under your butt makes it really nice.

I have a Biltwell solo seat on mine. Got one of those hinged mounting kits. Base of the hinge is welded to the frame crossmember right by where the tank attaches.

I made some rubber feet for the rear of the seat. They just sit on the frame rails. Nothing to secure the rear of the seat. As gizzo said, my backside holds it down.

Keep in mind, mine isn't a hard tail, so I didn't feel the need to run seat springs. I think it looks much better, since my seat hugs the frame really closely.

If you want some pics, let me know. I have a bunch documenting how I made the feet and how it sits.

One of my seat springs broke, stopped by the Harley Davidson Dealer and got a spring for $6.
