Beginning of my first bike
06/11/16 at 16:57:46

Hey everyone,
I picked up a 97 savage 27xxx miles on it. 1000$

I have been messing around with it and am trying to make it more sleek, a lot of bobber influences. I have only spent money on minor things so far. On a budget building as i ride.
Lot of ideas thanks to people on here! I am sorry I don't remember who posted the mods I used. Remove air box and put a kamikaze filter, removed passenger seat and sissy bar, plus a cat eye tail light under fender.

Next I was thinking (no particular order yet)
1. Jets from Lancer
2. Cover holes and lower rear fender. Untill purchase of new one
3. Move fork bag to behind seat
4. Turn signals
5.  Drag bars
6. Get it inspected. Ha Probably will do first.

Just want some honest opinions of it  and maybe throw ideas around.

I can't get a picture because the file is too large. I Don't know how to fix that.

Will do. Should I go as you mentioned in your post? Or check more?

To reduce the file size of the pic, open it in whatever phooto editor you have and resize to 640 x 480 at 72 dpi.  It will upload fine then.  You will lose some of the finer detail that you would want for a reference photo or if you were going to print it.  For web use, it will be fine.

If you wish to keep the original high res photo, save it under a different name.

Welcome Kenny, that's a clean bike for the miles. Versy is spot on with he's cam chain adjuster check. Those that have paved the way before us swear by this. Good Luck and happy riding!

I will do that sometime this week once I can get the gaskets. I wasn't thinking of it because it runs good. But it would be better to check and make sure before something does happen and I have to fix the whole motor

Only one or two Didn't total the motor. Usually it's just time to find a used one and swap. Bad things happen in there.
