Cone Air Filter

Can I install a cone air filter without major modification? I remember reading somewhere on here that you have to relocate the batter to install a cone filter.

Thanks for the help!

I can take one tomorrow. Really, it's easy, remove stock rubber air tube, slip on cone. 21/8 or 21/4, forgot which.  Cool
read the thread 'tuning your intake' for more info and photos.

Are you after the "look"......or do you expect to get better performance?

You must be sure the filter flange does not cover any air bleed holes at the carb inlet bell!  If so you will have a tuning nightmare.

I am looking for performance, plus the look is not bad either.

I'll keep aware of the bleed holes, thanks!

You'll get better performance with a velocity stack between the carb and air filter.
You can use the stock rubber ducky or a straight tube.
