The Right Dr. Will Keep You Ridin'

Leading up to today has been scary for me ,vascular surgery.

The vascular surgeon that worked on my right leg today spent 2 1/2 hours scraping plaque and calcium
out of the femoral artery in my right leg and placed 6 stents in the artery. He did this to avoid doing the bypass that he thought would be necessary.

The stents he used are treated with a medication to prevent the calcium from building up in the artery again.

The surgeon is a guy that I ride motorcycle with and I now see that it pays to have a motorcycle rider for a vascular surgeon.

He did this so I can continue to ride a two wheeler for a long time, and years down the road the bypass can be done if necessary.

He did tell me not to ride until this Saturday, if Carlos knew how much my leg is hurting he wouldn't have to make that suggestion.

I guess he doesn’t know darned old I am....LOL

His name is Carlos Cruz M.D.

Miss Ellen made me some old time Green Hospital Jello.

My leg does smart when I bend it. I notice some one has posted that all they need is a sunny day and a full tank of gas. I am going to give it a try. Kenny G

J C,

I am almost certain that I am driving the last 2 bikes that I will ever own.

There is always the possibility that I could down size to something smaller and lighter to keep ridin' as long as possible.

At this point in time the S40 is a perfect fit for the ridin' that I do.

Do my legs ever hurt this morning, it feels like 10 bikes ran over me.

Getting old sux, but, the option isn't so attractive. Having been athletic and a thrill seeking adrenaline junkie I've done more than my fair share of skidding, falling and bouncing. Thanks to the science of chiropractic arts, and the skillful hands of surgeons, am still relatively functional. I feel for you, Kenny.

Spring,

I wish I was your age so that I could get at least another twenty years of ridin' before my ticket is punched.

I have been very fortunate in my old age to be able to do everything I could do a half a century ago. Although most things take a little longer than they did.
