They look good, they're light, and you get discount coupons for hearing aids.

Raask is very nice but pricey. Wonder if they just sell the header pipe alone!

The Raask is reported to be very loud by a few folks who have one, or have heard one in person.

Woops......didn't read the whole thing again?

Are your aware that the chrome part of the Suzuki Savage pipe is not what the exhaust travels through.....there is an inner pipe about 1-1/4" diameter that is inside the chrome pipe (inner and outer pipe).  You can't just cut the pipe and re-weld it into a different shape...unless you only use the inner pipe which is not pretty.

I am not sure if the same inner/outer pipe method is used on the S50.

Think I paid $120 for it. It was new used but not new,had a chipped up black chrome ceramic coating and was marked savage 650 from one of those online cycle salvage places. Was a direct bolt on for the savage. Looked good on a savage but too long for a street tracker.

yeah Dave, once you cut that baby up it all falls apart inside and outside. so you basically have 2 systems, one that functions and one that is cosmetic.

Which is interesting, didn't someone around here take a grinder/dremel to their exhaust outlet on the head ???

Yes....there is a very restrictive aluminum donut at the exit of the exhaust port.  Some of that can be cut away....a little bit for a stock engine, and a bit more for a modified engine.

A muffler shop could easily bend a pipe and make you a header. It wouldn't be pretty but it would be functional. If you were going to wrap it in exhaust wrap anyway...  Wink
