Tool Bag - what's in yours?
05/21/16 at 06:35:14
Purchased my ride previously abused and it was missing a lot of things, tool pouch etc ...
looking to setup my fork bag and wondering what you carry in yours for road trips?

I have a sawed off crescent, screwdriver, 3 allen wrenches, zip ties, plug and wrench, knife, and $20...
Only things I've used in 36K miles?... a couple zip ties, an allen wrench, and the screwdriver...

I always carried oil, and a coupla lengths of parachute cord. I guess if someone can't tie knots well, that could be a hazard.
If I was planning on going out on a cross country thing then getting set up with AAA would be a consideration.

Seems to me that the most important tool would be a 1/4 inch drive socket set with a 10mm socket and an extension bar. Then you would at least be able to take off the saddle.

The only things in there I liked was the spark plug socket, but a lawnmower plug tool works fine, and the rear axle tools. Everything else in there pretty much sukkt.
Look in the marketplace, post a WTB thread.

Make sure your bike is right before the trip, then all you need is an inside pocket and ziplock bag with your cell and a credit card.

Most important as well is a can of Flat Fix. Works fine lasts a long time.
