Has anyone put a skid plate on their savages or s40? I'm thinking of going for that rugged look.

Red,

That is a good idea, make 2 skid plates and I will buy one from you.

Chrome, semi-gloss black, or truck bed liner?

Red,

Since the skid plate will be exposed to constant bombardment from debris from the front tire I would go with the chrome if I could afford it.

If I was making the plate I would probably go with powder coating, which is very resistant to abrasion.
