yeah Lancer, I've been on the hunt for a deal ... looking for really slim bags, the larger ones don't really appeal to me, aesthetically, on our smaller bikes ...

I like the slimmer bags, but like you, the lack of aesthetic fitment (not slanted to fit around shocks) doesn't appeal to me ...

Mutazu has some hard bags that are a nice fit on our bike.

hey Tocsik, do you have a shot that is straight on the left and right sides? I'd like to see how they fit along the shocks

~~~UPDATE~~~
this set will work, by drilling into the rail. They'll look nice, BUT you lose the helmet lock.  Sad
Back on the hunt!
They're not the sturdiest but they do lock; enough for peace of mind and a mild deterrent.
I have them reinforced with sheet metal and mounted directly to the fender (no chrome side rails) to keep them in closer to the bike.
Tocsik,
how do the lids lift? Towards the front/rear or center?
They open at the back and swing toward the front.
$99 GA bag from these guys:  http://www.mutazu.com/ (http://www.mutazu.com/products.php?cat_id=7&menu=Hard%20Saddlebags&product_id...)
They have others that open on the side, some with lights (dim LED's) etc.
I saw a pic on the forum of another bike with 'em and thought they were the perfect size and I was looking for something lockable.  They were certainly cheap enough to take the risk and throw a few extra bucks for reinforcing.  I Googled reviews and most guys reinforce with sheet metal.  I've redone the mounts; added a thicker bar inside across the top and removed the rubber grommets.
I can fit a fair amount inside; even my armored MC jacket folded up on hot days.  All the various gloves needed for riding in Denver, tools, rags, lunch...
Definitely not solid like fiberglass.  They are ABS plastic but again, cheap to buy and play with.
Hi Tocsik - Thanks for posting the pics. I'm new to the forum and the bike.
It looks like I have the same exact year/color as you and I have been thinking of adding the hard bags as well. Do you feel like you would go with one of the more pricier options after you received the GA bags? I noticed you said they weren't that solid and you had to reinforce them.
I would like to store a half helmet for my impromptu passengers and rain gear.
Thanks!
