Chimp,
Dime City has a real bargain on that carburetor. If we had a bike that you could easily pull the carb off to tune it I would be in for it in a New York Minute.
With my limitations on skill, if I decide to go with the VM 36 I think I will pay the money that Lancer wants since his setup is pretty well thought out.
In fact at the moment I am looking to find an adapter to use Lancer's carb and the Suzuki factory air box and filter.
Before I part with $400 bucks I have been working on the standard POS carburetor and have it working so good I am reluctant to get rid of it now.
I find that the factory carb likes very minute changes, not any big change at one time. I rode for over an hour this morning on rural roads, never getting beyond fourth gear, or over 45 MPH, and didn't hear a solitary pop or after fire. I gassed up at the end of my ride and checked my mileage and I am now up to 47.65 MPG, which is the best in the past 12 months of checking MPG.
Time will tell.
