So after some trial and error I got it all wired up. But now I can't get the bike to turn over.... when you press the start switch the selenoid clicks but doesn't do anything I bridged the selenoid and the bike started.... so my question is, is my brand new selenoid that I just took out of the box bad or am I missing something in the wiring?

Brand new battery. If I bridge the solenoid the bike starts right up and runs.. and I don't know if it could be one of the safetit's cus when you hit the start switch the light dims the motor clicks and the solenoid clicks.... I have a power wire running from the battery to the solenoid then the solenoid to the starter and have the two little wires running to their corresponding colors... I'm just stumped

Start button guts may be dirty. Sounds like insufficient current available to the solenoid primary coil.

Key off, check it out with a meter.
If you're going in, sweep up first. Some small stuff in there.

I have a power wire running from the battery to the solenoid then the solenoid to the starter and have the two little wires running to their corresponding color

Well, where they come from and go to matters.
I don't know exactly how it is set up. I would, if I was designing it, run a hot wire to the solenoid primary coil, that goes hot with the key,and provide the ground through the switch.
That's not gonna work out if the housing of the solenoid is the ground.
Sidestand and clutch safety would kill it.

Study what you have before ripping into stuff.
It's a great way to create gremlins.

Yeah, but yours already passed. It works. Just gotta feed it the right voltages, provide the grounds, shazzam, starts.
That's depending on what exactly you jumpered...
Maybe describe what you have, in detail,
