Muffler bracket

There is an item in the parts catalogue called the muffler bracket. Attached to the underneath of this bracket are two extensions about 4" long with what appear to be a mounting hole at each end of both extension. Does anyone know the purpose of the extension pieces mounted underneath this bracket. I thought perhaps an attachment point for a centre stand?

They have a vent system that takes vapor from the fuel tank vent, runs it into a canister, then burns it in the engine when the bike is running. On he CA bikes the fuel cap is not vented, the fuel tank has a vent tube that connects to the canister.

are the tanks all the same Dave, with the exception of vented and non-vented gas caps?

if so, where's the CA models vent lines on the tanks? are they capped off or something?

The other tanks don't have this vent line.
