On ride home Monday I noticed that shadow was not handling right. I was not far from home and kept hoping I could make it.
Turned out I had what I thought it was, a low almost flat rear tire? Hubby was home and as soon as he aired it up, it went flat!!
Of course all the MC shops are closed on Monday around here. So there went the rest
Of the afternoon as far as riding went.
Hubby has a towing business and so we got it on the tow truck, hauled it over as the shop opened yesterday a.m.
They got me right in and I was back on the road within  90 mins.
I had my gear with me so was able to hop on and ride it home  
The total cost for the fix including labor, shopmtools was $93.00
They told me non spoke tire would have had to be replaced so made me think I am
Glad I had spoke tiresms the tube could be replaced.
Oh and somewhere I had picked up 2 roofing nails.
I am glad i was close to home as was almost 90 degrees and I had left cell phone at home. Now I will make sure I have the phone with me.
Good news is all is OK.. Shadow is ready for more riding
Oh is that a normal price for tire repair around your area?

Non-spoke tire would have had to be replaced? Not in my world.
I'd patch the tire, well, patch tubes, Boot tires, semantics,,
Maybe put a tube in, I disagree with the shop on that.
As for the price, they hadda jack it up, pull the wheel, break it down, put in a tube, put it back together.
If you had just taken the wheel in you probably would have spent about fifty,
I say that because I was paying thirty just to mount a tire that I Bought from the shop.. You were paying for a tube and handling the breakdown of one side..
It's high, but that's just how it is.
If not for the Difference in cost of tires and how fast they wear out, riding would cost less than driving.
Maybe if I hadn't been intent on grinding the pegs off the thing it would've been more economical.
