Looking to change out my reat tire/ assembly this weekend and have be looking all over for a guide to do this with no luck. There are plenty of rear removals for Harleys and Sport Bikes. Is this much different or is there any other bikes that have similar setup that may assist me with this project. Any help will be much appreciated.

I just walked off in it. Wasn't that hard. My license plate stayed on. Air stayed in. Just relaxed the adjusters, didn't hafta remove the bolt completely,
Pay attention to the adjusters, you can get them in upside down.
Gotta get the tab on the brake assembly in the slot on the bike.
The closer to the floor you can leave the bottom of the tire the easier it will be. If you have a spare arm poking out of your chest, it would be handy. No pun intended.
Pay attention to the bushings on the axle. One is longer.
The first time, its a bear. Gets easier after a few times. Never exactly gets fun, like pulling the tank. Even once you've done enough to know exactly what to do, it's a hassle.


Having the bike high enough to be able to poke a pry bar under the tire and move it up and down a bit while you mess with lining up the axle helps.

No, leave that front pulley alone. That's just added trouble and asking for more.

I never pulled the guard off. Or license plate. Or deflated the tire. Just disconnected the brake cable, loosen up adjusters, get the nut loose, rear tire off the ground, nut off, axle out, start gaining wiggle room, the brake assembly can be removed and replaced by a surprisingly small amount of wheel movement.
