I need a taller backrest (Read 184 times)

striknein Junior Member Offline SuzukiSavage.com Rocks! Posts: 51	I need a taller backrest 04/18/16 at 10:06:19 I'd like to pick up a tailbag for longer trips, but the stock sissy bar is pretty short. Does anyone know of a taller backrest that fits the OEM fender braces?

It is still available. There are plenty of cheap Asian ones that bolt onto the side of the fender struts.

There is a bit of cleanup to do, handles etc. Here it is in it's proper stance, and showing the pullback angle.

I understand how that picture could cause someones guts to cringe. I still have the avatar on another forum.. I wish I had a full size print out. Id hang it up in the shop.

Must have made the measurements right as it fitted straight up. The angle is to match the angle of the new +4" forks - thanks to Greg from the site who helped make it possible. I'll do a write up of the bike in projects but if anyone wants to know details, happy to share.
