Is This Cam Cover Gasket Ruined?

I ordered the cam cover gasket pictured below in order to replace my wife's bike's cam chain tensioner, and our genius USPS deliverer literally folded it in half (it was shipped between two thick, FLAT pieces of cardboard) to cram it into our mailbox.

I'm not experienced enough to know if it's no big deal, just use it, or if it's ruined.

If the gasket is not torn or doesn't have any kinks or stretches....it is probably OK.  They are somewhat flexible.

If you have the time to wait....you might want to contact the shipper and notify them of the damage, as the shipper is the one responsible to file a damage claim.

"If it doesn't fit, get a bigger hammer."

Nah, doesn't apply here!  Grin

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!
