Dragon Vid

Here's one I came across today looking for other stuff. This guy knows how to ride. But, what is it with tossbags on cruisers blocking crew who are clearly faster? God that makes me angry.

by 'crew who know what they're doing' I assume you mean the tossbag who is traveling at over 2x the posted limit on a public road and getting andry when others don't 'do their duty' by clearing a way
I realize the guy has skills, and they really should have moved over (i did, many times) but running 70 and 80 on a road posted at 30 you gotta expect there are gonna be folks going slower, and not all of them are going to respond to your superior skill (and better suited bike) by moving over
If you want to move that fast without obstruction the place to do it is on a racetrack

What do the yellow numbers that show up periodically mean?

They yellow numbers are the number of "pull overs", if you are being tailgated on the dragon, it is courteous to pull over and let the other riders pass.
Most Hurley riders refuse to do that.... I don't know.... maybe they don't want to get the idea someone is faster than they are....
Old Feller don't care.... he passes them on the outside of a curve Smiley

Guess we'll just have to differ on that point, art. I don't imagine he expected a clear run with no traffic but its good form to use slow points if your holding someone up. I don't appreciate being held up 'for my own good'. The guy did ride very well and stayed in his own lane. Anyway, I enjoyed it.

I'm guessing the speedo is estimated cause it was done after the fact.

or does the camera autolink to the bike and gps?

I think the population of deer around the Dragon have either learned to say away from the road during daylight hours....or they have become road kill.

The Dragon is a real mix of traffic......from slow motorhomes and campers to 1,000 cc sport bikes.  There are times when you can hustle along really quickly and be reasonably safe - other times there is just too much traffic to allow you to ride fast safely. You need to stay in your lane at all speeds, and be ready for anyone to be in your lane around every corner.  Both motorcycles and motorhomes can be surprised by the decreasing radius and blind corners and fail to stay in their lane.

I have found the need to pass slow riders....some easily wave you buy, and others believe it is acceptable to be a slowly moving obstacle.  I generally don't have a problem finding my way around them.....or I just turn around and ride the other direction for a while (The Dragon is fun in either direction!).
