No door opener here. Truly Loved having one at a house in Midland. Nothing finer than pulling in the driveway while wind whipped sleet and rain are slicing across everything standing and all ya gotta do is reach up and poke a button, the door opens and you roll in , and out of the nasty stuff.

I didn't see the price.
I Do know how to build a gizmo that will press a button..

I just go to lowe's and buy a keychain one. They have ones that you can program using the button on the back of your opener, kinda like setting up a new tv remote.
This is the one I bought, I hang it off the bar with a keychain clip.

About the same price, and you don't have to rewire your bike. Wink

well if OR says kcuF technology... then F it indeed.

I just use a full sized remote dropped into pocket in a bag that I tie to the handlebars.  Easy enough to find and press thru the material.

I'm with old_rider.  I thought about hard wiring a remote into my high beam but decided it was too much to risk shorting something out. I ended up getting a mini-remote for both my driveway gate and garage door and keep them affixed with velcro to the inside-back of my handlebar bag. I just reach in and click whichever I need.  And, if I ever need to take the remote off the bike for other uses I can.

Before I moved and needed 2 remotes or had a handlebar bag, I kept my mini-remote velcroed to the frame under the right-side of my seat (kinda hidden) and I would just reach down and click.  For safety, I also ran a zip tie thru the chain loop onto something just in case the velcro ever broke loose.

Here are 2 options.  They sometimes can be problematic and fussy.

At the house in OH, I just took the clip off of one of the full-sized remotes and just carried it in the pocket of my pants. When I needed to get in, I'd stop, shift to neutral and then push the button.

we have an old school opener, 20 years old, has dip switches inside for "programming". Right now I am carrying a giant, thick wallet sized remote in a pocket in my backpack. So I pull in, remove the pack, dig thru pocket and abracadabra ... open sesame ...

the lowe's link may provide a solution, as long as I can program it somehow ...

My garage door opener is the best. I park the bike on the drive way. Take off my gloves. Raise my visor. Go to the front door. Find the key in my pockets. Open the front door. Step in the house. Open the garage door. Push the garage door opener button. Run back outside. Push the bike into the garage. Go back inside the house through the front door. Open the door to the garage. Push the button again. And voila, I am done. Grin Grin Grin

Go to fleabay and search for "Stinger" mini/keychain remotes. You'll have to figure out which one matches your model.  They are small, and many are dipswitch style. I have several for my driveway gate and they have been very reliable.

I pulled a Springman for the last few semesters-
Quote:
I park the bike on the drive way. Take off my gloves. Raise my visor. Go to the front door. Find the key in my pockets. Open the front door. Step in the house. Open the garage door. Push the garage door opener button. Run back outside. Push the bike into the garage. Go back inside the house through the front door. Open the door to the garage. Push the button again.

and currently have the old_rider situation on some nights -

I used to pull up and just honk my horn...

It looks like stewmills provided the easiest and least expensive solution. Did find a "Stinger" that is branded for our model opener. HATE the pastel blue color though  Embarrassed

I have the simplest system of all, no garage  Grin Sad
At my old apartment, I parked on the sidewalk outside my door, under an overhang
Maybe when I get my building set up I'll make a carport for my vehicles
Or maybe I'll get rid of the trailer and use the one I built for it  Roll Eyes
