Reply #2 - 04/03/16 at 12:01:05 there's a brown wire that comes off the ig switch that goes to the tail light only. Depending on the current these things draw, i'd tap into that. just make sure not to use the "P" setting on the ig switch.

Yep, connecting to the brown wire will turn off the lights when you shut down the bike. I completely agree with JOG2's suggestion of adding a switch as well so that you can control them at will. On my previous bikes I added a remote control switch so that I could turn them on and off on the fly.
