Folding Foot Pegs
04/01/16 at 08:05:51

Has anyone installed folding foot pegs on their Savage (not in the stock forward location)? Anyone modified any other pegs to fit a rear-set position?? Thanks.

Stuff like that has been done. It's not a five minute deal.
You have a welder? Grinders? Can you fabricate?

Why do you want folding foot pegs?

The Savage pegs do fold a little bit - but by not folding 90 degrees they do provide some protection for the chassis when/if the bike falls over.

Why? I don't like fixed pegs. The RYCA fixed pegs are nice but I want folding. Fabricate? To a small degree.

You wouldn't want a footpeg to fold up on your foot during a tip over.

Plenty of pictures on here. Find one that trips your trigger, start planning.. it's definitely been done and I would have eventually done it, but I thought I'd never ride again, so, I sold it.

RYCA (and others) do have folding pegs if you are looking for rear-sets.  I somehow mistakenly assumed you were talking about the stock footpegs.

this one's closer to what you want if you're using the stock peg mount...
