Well, thought i'd at least get to go to one of the trips this year.... got a nerve burning session coming up (hopefully, missed my first one because I got sick), so riding was in my plans.
But yesterday while picking up the yard to mow.... I found two shingle tabs....sigh.
We have had a few days of really stormy weather and the wind decided to have its way with my roof. No leaks, but I got up there to check it out, and it don't look purdy.
The company that built the house used standard cheapo shingles, and they are actually wearing small circles in them, how? I haven't the foggiest, there is literally nothing that touches them. (13 years old)
So, looks like a new roof, probably going to do metal ($$$$$$) as it lasts up to about 50 years.
Then in September, we celebrate 30 years together and momma wants to do something special.... we haven't decided yet.
We were going to go up and see some of them Giant Red Trees in northern California.... but it is a 3-4 day up event, 2 days there, and 3-4 days back. Not sure the wife can take 10 days off in a row... but we are going to attempt to get it done, and see a lot of stuff on the way up and back
