98 Savage, First bike, first build
03/07/16 at 17:35:18

Hi all,
I've lurked here for several months and just bought a 98 Savage a few weeks ago. I took it on one ride and started tearing it down to make it what I want it to be. The paint was terrible. Everything else is stock. This is how it looked when I got it.

Is that chrome trim under the tank? Stock? I've seen a few like that.

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

That is not stock.  it is chrome aftermarket door edging for a car.  There were some ebay sellers selling "kits" for the bike also.

Ok, not 100% stock ? As far as I knew , all the trim and everything is how it came, definitely how I got it. I'm going with kind of a bobber style. Satin ivory color paint, trailer fender, reshaped and recovered seat. I have a K&N pod filter on the way, Screamin Eagle pipe, and different turn signals. I need a set of jets.

Ha ha, I'm having trouble posting the pic. I hit "choose file" , select the pic, then hit post. I get a message that says to select the image again in the search box ?

I put the chrome trim on mine too.  I went the extra mile and did the front and rear fenders as well.  I think it looks nice.

So, here is where I'm at now. It took about a 5 weeks or so to get it here, working in my spare time.

(Can't post photo, very frustrating)

You can either upload your file here, or...

1.  Host your file somewhere.
2.  Scroll over the address, right click and copy it.
3.  Add it to your post with the IMG tags

ex. [ img ]Your pic address here [ /img ]   <---Delete the spaces in the IMG tag
