Posts: 1569 Arizona	Removing tins for paint? 03/04/16 at 17:33:04 I'm prepping for paint, 1. wondering if I have to remove the rear wheel to get that fender off? 2. Is there anything I should watch for when removing the tank? AND can I get all the gasoline out easier?

The interference with the stock petcock...is the back of the petcock hits the upper frame backbone. Most folks can't remove the tank without taking the stock petcock off....on a few bikes the manufacturing tolerances are favorable and you can wiggle the tank off.

The Raptor petcock is much thinner, and you can leave the fuel in the tank and the Raptor mounted and get the tank ON/OFF.
