Bought some underglow strips from walmart and put it on my 1998 Savvy. Want to do it? its simple and easy.
1. Peel and Stick LED Lights (you pick color) Walmart has them in stock.
2. Toggle Switch (On/Off)
3. Electrical Tape
4. Wire cutter/stripper
Okay, got the list? Easy..
Step 1: Peel and stick the lights on the bottom of the tank or where desired.
Step 2: Remove Seat and locate white fuse box on muffler side.
Step 3: Strip less than 1cm of exposed wire and remove the top fuse.
Step 4: Insert the positive wire into the fuse of both lights and re-insert fuse with wire in.
Step 5: Crack loose the nut of the muffler side shock or on the chrome nut under the pass. seat and tighten with ground wire stripped 1cm to complete the circuit.
Step 6: Watch the lights light up.
Step 7: Disconnect the positive lines by removing the fuse and pulling the positive lines out.
Step 8: Locate the spot you want the toggle switch (Mine is under the seat)
Step 9: Peel apart the positive line and the ground line and pull the positive line to the side the switch is on (recommended the left side) and snip the line to reach the toggle switch easily.
Step 10: Strip both fronts on the new snipped wire and attach to toggle switch.
Step 11: Plug in positive line to fuse and turn the toggle switch to "ON"

How much power do they use?
Maybe if I mounted them on the rim they could be powered by centrifugal force.
But they might get dizzy and fall off.

Looks pretty nice. Just be careful not to ride with those on. Totally illegal. Here in Houston it wouldn't take any more than that to be stopped and thrown to the ground by LEO.

They are not legal in Nebraska, as they aren't classified as a headlight. They are LED's, which are extremely energy efficient, so not much power at all.

Those LEDs make really neat camping lights too: take a strip of white LEDs, wire them up with your favorite connector ( I use Deans plugs) and put into a length of clear pvc hose. A bit of hot glue or goop to hold it together, a wire hook on one end to hang it up, a 12v power source on the other and you're good to go. You could hook it to your car/bike battery but I just hang a 3s Lipo battery for a rc model on it. Lasts for days.

I think you meant, "they are not
illegal
, as they aren't classified as a headlight..."
Red lights, no matter how energy efficient, need to be rear facing. Trust me on this. This is a ticket waiting to happen. Most of the time a motorists interpretation of the law doesn't win in court. The judges usually won't accept the defendant's testimony on the subject as they usually don't meet the qualifications for providing expert testimony. Just saying.
