Noise
02/21/16 at 18:13:41

I'm not sure where to make introductions on this forum so I will do so now. My name is Dan and I live in the San Diego area. I own a 06 1100 v-star, 2012 1900 stratoliner and as Feb 20th a new 2014 suzuki s40. The first thing I notice was the belt was way to tight from the dealer and corrected it. I now here a wine/grind sound coming from the tyranny only on deceleration in any gear at any speed. I pull the clutch and it stops,  release the clutch and the sound returns. No matter what gear just deceleration by rolling off the throttle I here the grinding sound. Any info will be appreciated before speaking to the dealer about this...

Mine does it on decel too. I don't hear it while accelerating. Nature of the beast?

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

Thanks for your responces. I guess every bike has there own quirks, sounds oddities. I road about a hundred miles today and really enjoyed  the handling and find there's plenty of power. I'm gonna purchase bags, windshield and passenger backrest..no buyers remorse.

The direction of the tension in the belt is different.
Pulling in the clutch yield the same noise?
