Yeah, I'd check the Marketplace.  You might consider placing a WTB there too.

Before you break another one....are you aware of the little pin that is supposed to fit into a hole drilled in the handlebars?

Most folks file that pin off when using different bars - as it allows you to rotate the control into a comfortable position.....and you don't have to drill holes in your new handlebars.

Yep....the silver pin is part of the casting, and it fits in the handlebar hole to keep the assembly from rotating. In the photo in the first post you can see the pin on the bottom piece sticking up toward the handlebar.  In the dirt bike world we actually would leave the clutch and brake lever clamps just a little loose on purpose......then when you fell over the levers could move a bit and possibly not bend or brake.

There is no pin on the clutch bracket, only on the switch assy.
I filed the pins off my switches so that I can rotate the bars to any position.
Are the handlebars you are fitting exactly 1" diameter?

Ooops.....I didn't see the rest of the photo.  I thought he broke the electrical control casting when he tightened the screws.

Don't overtighten the clutch or brake perches - they should only be snugged enough to prevent them from moving when bumped....it is better that they can rotate if hit hard.

They may not be allen screws - but this still applies! Wink

If you're going to replace the screws with Allen then I would say be cautious when tightening them down.  You can't just jam them in like it's prom night or something.

Yeah the electrical control casing is fine, I am going to file off those pins though. Yeah I definitely over tightened the perch... lesson learned. I have a new one on the way. That snap sound hurt my heart and soul.
