Why is it the Clinton's dig their own holes?

If the lady would have been forthright from the get go, and just owned her mistake, she would not be have to explain, her explanations, that need a new explanation, to explain the old explanation.

Or...... we can just call it a lie, perhaps?  Grin

From the Boston Herald

Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton has insisted repeatedly that her use of a private email server during her years as secretary of state was no big deal.

And she never, ever sent or received information “marked classified” at the time.

What we know now is that Clinton — like her husband — is a champion parser of words.

Yesterday with the release — under a court order — of the latest batch of 3,007 State Department emails we know a little bit more about how Clinton managed to sustain what is essentially a myth.

The batch released at about 1:30 a.m. Friday morning — because why not release information in the middle of the night if you possibly can — contained 66 classified documents and one now deemed to be “secret.” That brings the total number of classified documents that traveled via Clinton’s server to 1,340.

The latest classified documents, now heavily redacted before being released, are nonetheless instructive on the issue of how so much information could pass back and forth from the secretary of state and not be classified even at the time of transmission.

One email chain with her top adviser Jake Sullivan, now with the Clinton campaign, dealt with some talking points Clinton was in a hurry to see — the subject of which is now deemed so sensitive even it has been redacted.

But the department was having trouble finding a secure fax so Clinton ordered:

“If they can’t, turn into nonpaper w no identifying heading and send nonsecure.”

Nothing ambiguous about that. The secretary of state has just ordered a staffer to send knowingly classified material via a nonsecure means — and to obscure the fact by removing its classified markings.

There is no further word on whether Sullivan complied. But Clinton’s order is clear — and the order violates the laws on handling classified material. And that raises the question of how often that was done.

It’s a question presumably the FBI — now in possession of Clinton’s server — can eventually answer.

But it’s also a question voters might want to ponder in the days ahead.

PS: The last line of the article does NOT apply to you bot.....  Grin

PSS: When the world sees how our politicians lie to its citizenry, is it any wonder they don't believe or trust us?
