I've never rode pillion on a savage, but from wat I hear your wife is very long suffering or has an iron butt
if she ever gets to drive, and finds out how much less torturous the rider's seat is, you may get evicted from it  Grin

You might consider something like this for you passenger.  It provides a wider seat surface, and it is not permanently mounted to the bike.
