Des: here's the procedure I followed:
Visit to dentist, to agree on procedure for dentures, visit to denturist for a mold taking, and pre-fitting. Final fitting, dentures in hand, back to dentist/hospital for removal and immediate insertion of dentures. For 3 days, no removal of dentures. Evening of third day, flush out my mouth and ease dentures out. Gums remain sore for a long time while gums heal.

PS: With the strong us $ and weak can$, you could get a set of dentures in Canada for a 30% discount!! Or, try Mexico! Speak to a denturist first, before you do anything. In other words, don't buy dentures from a dentist! Cheers! Cool

They take out the remaining teeth and you leave with a "Temporary Dentures" the same day ...

The temporary ones act as "Band aids" or "Forming frames" for your gums while they heal. Then you get fitted for permanent Dentures

They all over the country ... check em out ! Wink

I got the middle priced upper plate 10+ years ago and still wear them every day with no problem Cool

Small extra cost, but they look very natural. Cheers!
