Neutral switch

I need a replacement neutral switch (gear position indicator). Upon browsing EBay, I find one for years 1986-1995.

I'm wondering: Did these things change in design at some point? Do I need to worry about year? Am I at risk of buying an incompatible part?

Also, In case I have issues with the clutch cover gasket, does anybody have any recommendations? I read somewhere that the aftermarket gaskets can have issues? I don't want to spend too much money on some stinkin' ol' gasket Tongue
