If it didn't puncture the tube just yank it out
In fact just yank it anyway
if the tire still holds air and the nail wasn't in the side wall, you're likely good to go
there is no reason to replace a tube type tire for a simple pucture, and no reason to replace a tube that isn't punctured

I agree with "oldNslow." Do yourself a favor and get a decent quality tire gauge (I like the Milton non-digital gauges) and add it to your bike's toolkit. Tires and brakes are 2 High Priority items on any vehicle, and even MORE so on a 2-wheeler. The tube-type tires like on the Savage/S40 tend to lose a little air over time, so I check mine every 2-3 weeks or when ambient temps change drastically.

Let us know how it all works out, Ms."Plane."   Smiley

I'm in woodstock Ga, on the north side of the ATL. I have used Kens Motorcycle Tires and found them very good.

I pulled the nail but could not get IMO, an accurate read of the PSI with the little preesure gauge I had so I took it to an automotive shop to have it measured. Realized when down on my knees looking for the max psi that my rear tire is actually a Dunlop tubeless. The nail was only about two inches long and only about halfway into the tread. I don't think that it was ruptured. As I rode there and back, now the bike is running weirdly. Follow the new thread for that. Thanks to all who helped and provided insight. You guys are the best.
