I had the honda and the Yamaha 750 for sale on Craigslist all last week. There was a little interest but never moved anything. Yesterday I pulled out the Honda, filed the points, pulled the plugs and cleaned them. Ended up with spark @ the plugs so I squirted a little gas in each cyl. And cranked her over. She popped but never started.
I didn't work on it more than an hour or so. I don't. Have a compression tester but the cylinder will blow your thumb off the hole. I will admit the spark wasn't the greatest. It just didn't have that nice blue color. So I suppose if I'm gonna go any further new plugs and points will be in order. It was interesting to find out it, at least, wants to rumble.

My first bike was a '69 CB 450, and if I found one for the right price....... (Of course I might be sleeping on the sofa and condemned to eating my own cooking....)

What I found interesting about his bike is the over all design. Very well thought out and solid. Everything seems accessed easily. Plugs and points are easy to get at; etc. I was just @ the farm store and ngk plugs for it are 6 George's. That's doable as long as points aren't much more. I hate to spend to much on it but I it runs I may go all the way and take Daves advice and get a new title from what ever state that is.

From 1965 until 1969....the CB450 was the biggest, baddest motorcycle that Honda made (then came the CB750).

I can remember going to the local County Fair when I was in junior high and seeing the Honda motorcycle display....and being amazed by the CB450 on display. At that time I had been riding my dad's Yamaha 125 twin (YAS1C) off road......and the CB 450 was a bike I could only dream of owning someday.

In this neck of the woods, it seems, there are a lot of 3 & 4 cyl. bikes to choose from with very few big singles & twins being offered. At least road ready ones. I think there is an exceptionally strong market for big singles and twins; here anyway.

My buddy (Ham Lee, nice Irish kid and former R.T. man in my platoon) who taught me how to ride, had a BSA 650. He rode my 450 and pronounced it the better bike. Comparatively maintenance free and ELECTRIC START !!!!!

I know a guy in Odessa who had a 450 , showroom floor till today ,I suspect. Dual leading shoe, I think. You might have a better bike than you know. Look it up, in good shape.

Justin, on that site, there were only 2 CB 450's. Both are at least 10 years newer than this one I found on a scrap pile.
