Footpegs?
12/06/15 at 16:23:08

I broke one of my pegs, and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on replacements.  Undecided Roll Eyes

I found some on Ebay, but I'm not sure they're folding or not. Haven't asked the vendor. Does anyone like these? Do they fold?

Opinions???

Why don't you just keep and eye on the for sale page here, ebay or CL for some stock footpegs to come up?

Why not get some Kevlar pegs?...j/k.  Lots of threads around here with good options.  A quick search should turn up some good stuff.

Dude. It's a thing to put your foot on. It just sits there with a foot on it. It's not a performance part and "upgrading" the footpegs won't make your bike faster, handle better or look cooler. Well, maybe the last one a little bit. Just go ride. If I were looking for a replacement, I'd just make one of the back foot pegs fit on the front. It's gonna do the same job. That or a bicycle pedal.

Uh huh, very funny  Roll Eyes Tongue

The guy selling these pegs say they're more comfortable because they are smaller, thereby giving the foot slightly more room. He compares them mildly to forward controls, so it could be argued that this is a performance part Cool.

Well obviously he's not going to claim the pegs are worse than the originals, right? If you want to bling your bike up, knock yourself out. Just don't kid yourself that it's a performance mod, or that you could tell the difference anyway. Stuff like that doesn't make a difference. I bet they'll go rusty once the cheap chrome gets a dose of salt. You'd be better spending the money on a few tanks of fuel, some good riding gear or a track day. But what do I know ?
I'm not trying to  be mean. Just telling like I'm seeing it.
The pegs you linked to look like they fit the stock peg clevis thing so yes, they'll fold.

I rode a friends bike who had those and it was kinda annoying that the outer edge was raised a bit.  That would have been nice if the pegs were wider or my boots were smaller.

Best regards,

Cheep,

If you were closer to me I would give you a bunch of them.

My experience with the O-ring pegs is that the O-rings slide out of the grooves machined in the pegs.

You might want to consider adapting the pegs from a Harley Sportster.

I bought these...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHROME-SPLIT-RUBBER-FOOT-PEGS-FOR-HARLEY-FOOT-PEGS-CA...
I went to ACE hardware to get different washers/bolts/nuts to make them work w/o drilling them out...
they work fine

Bubba,

I have had the Kuryakyn pegs, that your pegs are copied from, on a couple of bikes and they are very comfortable.
